A coffee setup for a small counter
Make room for the routine, not a display of equipment. Start with the cup you make most often and give every daily step a place.

The whole workflow together.
Allow space for the brewer, water source or kettle, coffee, a cup, and a safe place for wet filters or grounds. Count cupboard and drying space too.
Delay
The accessory without a solved problem.
A new grinder, container, scale, or serving piece may help a specific routine. It is not a default requirement for every small counter.
Try it before buying
Map one ordinary morning

Choose the usual serving.
One mug and a shared pot have different space needs. Check the real vessel you use, not a manufacturer's ambiguous “cup” count.

Lay out only the essentials.
Place your existing brewer, water tool, coffee, cup and cleanup item where they would sit in use. Leave room to lift lids, pour safely and move a hot vessel.

Walk through cleanup.
Where will used grounds go? Where will a rinsed brewer dry? A setup that fits only before brewing does not really fit.

Find the actual bottleneck.
If fresh grinding matters to you, the Specialty Coffee Association explains why ground coffee changes faster than whole beans. That still does not mean a grinder belongs on every counter: a cupboard, occasional grinding or a smaller coffee purchase may suit your routine better.

Buy only for the remaining gap.
Measure the available footprint and overhead clearance before considering a new item. Check its exact dimensions, power needs, cleaning instructions and full delivered cost with the seller.
