A Stumptown coffee decision

Which Stumptown coffee fits your routine?

Three whole bean coffees serve different moments. Begin with the cup you make, the caffeine you want and whether you can grind beans at home.

This is an editorial comparison based on Stumptown’s product descriptions, checked September 24, 2026. We have not brewed or tasted these coffees.

Choose by the change you want

One regular bag

Hair Bender

A flexible first look if you use more than one brewing method and want Stumptown’s signature blend.

Daily drip or espresso

Holler Mountain

An organic medium roast to consider when you want a brighter daily cup.

Less caffeine

Trapper Creek Decaf

A decaf path for a later cup or a regular routine with much less caffeine.

Before choosing a bag

Make the coffee fit the ritual

  1. 01

    Check the coffee format.

These exact listings are 12 oz whole bean. If you do not have a grinder, choose a ground format that fits your brewer instead of buying whole beans you cannot use.

  2. 02

    Let caffeine decide first.

For a lower caffeine cup, Trapper Creek is the distinct choice here. Decaf is not entirely caffeine free.

  3. 03

Then consider the roaster’s flavor notes.

Hair Bender leans toward citrus, dark chocolate and raisin in Stumptown’s description. Holler Mountain is described as citrus, caramel and berry jam. These are flavor cues, not a promise of what you will taste.

  4. 04

    Check the purchase choice.

Stumptown’s product pages currently select Subscribe by default. Choose One-time purchase if you only want one bag. Verify the current price, shipping, tax and delivery before paying.

  5. 05

    Keep what already works.

If your present coffee suits your taste and budget, you do not need another bag just because a different blend is available.
