Our take on the fit
Make room for whole beans
Change
Consider Encore when grinding is the missing step in your whole-bean routine. Choose it as one grinder option, not an extra required purchase.
Skip
Skip it if you need guaranteed fine adjustment for a particular espresso setup. More numbered settings alone do not prove a better cup.
What you need
- Whole coffee beans, a compatible electrical outlet and a brewer.
- Set grind size for the chosen brew method and recipe.
Reuse what you already own when it fits.
Fit and reasons to pause
Editorial fit notes
- Consider it when whole-bean coffee is wanted and there is no suitable working grinder. It is an alternative to another grinder, not an additional required purchase.
Consider another option if
- A working grinder or acceptable grinding service already meets the need.
- Guaranteed fine adjustment for a particular espresso setup is required.
These are editorial checks based on the sources below, not hands-on testing or a personalized guarantee.
